Rottweiler

Exhibiting great endurance, the Rottweiler is hardy, well balanced and peaceable, though he has a very strong personality and is an alpha dog to the core (particularly the male). He must give the appearance of contained power. He never barks without cause. The Rottweiler forms a strong bond and is devoted to his owner and patient with children. This fearless dog is an excellent watchdog, particularly with his menacing appearance. The Rottweiler may exhibit aggressiveness toward strangers. Early, very firm (but gentle) training is required to ensure that this dog will obey without fail. The Rottweiler reflects the personality of his owner. If treated cruelly, he can develop into a ferocious weapon.

Care and Functions

The Rottweiler requires considerable space and exercise. He does not like to be closed in or tied up. This breed does not tolerate heat well. Daily brushing is required. This dog can perfectly be:
